Commodore's Welcome March 2008
Dear Members, welcome to the 2008 season during which I and the committee hope to build on the success of last year.
Winter work was well supported by many willing volunteers. Vast improvements have been made to the club environment, both inside and out.
Social events were well attended which was very encouraging. I would like to extend this enthusiasm onto the water by increasing our amount of sailors. To this end, for the first time in club history, from May 25th the last Sunday afternoon in every month will be a 'free sailing session'. There will be no racing, but the rescue boats will be manned. I hope that as many of you as possible will join us.
Various sailing events, (Phantom and Leader opens, the Triple B, the Regatta etc.) and social activities are scheduled throughout the year.

Please remember that the club is run by volunteers and that any offers of help and support will be gratefully received.
This year the committee intend increasing our membership and hope that you will join with us in extending a warm welcome to potential new members.
I sincerely hope that you all continue to enjoy BSC.
