Commodore's Welcome March 2009
Dear Members,
Welcome everyone to Buckenham Sailing Club's 50th anniversary season. We hope to have additional events this year so check the diary dates.
I hope this year can be good for the club members and that the club can be a little bit of escapism and release from the economic whirlwind that is happening around us. Despite increasing pressures on most people it's more important than ever to set time aside for your interests. There are a lot worse things to be done than coming down to the club to sail and socialise. The more people that are down at the club on a Sunday and support club events the better. Please assist any new members as much as possible.
I would like to see more support for the sailors, as without more sailors on the water it will become increasingly difficult to keep the club running.
I feel honoured to be the Commodore in the club's and my 50th year and look forwad to a season of good sailing, good fun and friendship
